Peace for the Broken in Pieces
[John 14:27] - It's time to become His peacemakers
[John 14:27] “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
There are a thousand things in this world that not only have the potential steal our peace, but are designed with the very purpose to deceive and destroy us.
Not long ago it was more difficult to purchase and possess such physical, mental and spiritually poisonous things, especially for children. But now, anyone (and any age) can access and purchase anything (good and evil) from almost anywhere and any time!
The tentacles of technology are quietly, but quickly reaching into our hearts and homes.
This includes our TV’s, computers, tablets, playlists, bookshelves and especially our phones—which are the perfect delivery systems because they are more portable and concealable. This doesn’t mean all technology is bad, but the devil must use whatever he can to steal and destroy our peace and then replace it with his misery.
And the devil doesn’t just use addiction and sins to steal and destroy our peace.
The devil also wants to create an atmosphere of fear in our lives. By causing us to worry about our world so much that it paralyzes us, it can be just as effective as poisoning us. For how can one have peace when they see the world falling to pieces? How can we have confidence in our leaders, teachers, employers when we see their weaknesses, wickedness, and expect to keep trusting our lives and livelihood to them? This causes us to not keep striving and trusting the Lord to help us become our best.
That’s why the Lord wants to give you HIS peace!
He knows the world is getting worse, but He also knows He needs you to help make it better. And this is difficult to do with fear and a troubled heart. Nevertheless, with His peace guiding and guarding you, you will overcome the troubling trends of gloom and doom and rise above the demise to make a difference with His light and love.
As more of us continue to let our lights so shine (His light) we can turn back the tide of trouble and terror!
Today, no matter what’s happening in your heart, home, neighborhood, country, world, etc. don’t give in to fear and worry. Because it will only make it more difficult to create solutions—especially the right ones—when we are motivated more by fear than peace. And there is no doubt we are called to create solutions to help this world!
